About Bolton FM live
Technical details, frequency and station information
Bolton FM is a British radio station broadcasting to a UK-wide audience. Its output centres on student / community, and it keeps to that line through the day.
Because it also streams online, Bolton FM does not depend on how close you are to a transmitter. That usually solves the problem for anyone outside the coverage area or picking up a weak signal.
You can listen to Bolton FM live right here: hit play and the stream starts. There is nothing to download and nothing to register.

Frequently asked questions about Bolton FM live
It is the same feed. What you hear on this page is the FM broadcast carried over the internet — same programmes, same presenters, same adverts. Only the delivery changes, which is useful indoors where FM reception often degrades.
Commercial radio has to deliver an audience to advertisers, which pushes it towards broad formats. A community station has no such requirement, so it can cover a single town, a single language group or a single genre in a way national radio never would.
Quite a few. You can browse them all on the National page, or use the genre pages if you are after a particular kind of music rather than a particular area.
The station's own site, linked further up this page, carries its schedule. We deliberately do not reproduce timetables here, because they go out of date quickly and a wrong one is worse than none.
Yes — Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. For smaller stations especially, social media is often more current than their own website.
