Frequently asked questions about Rhubarb Radio live
Neither. Rhubarb Radio is internet-only, which in practice means no coverage map and no interference: it sounds the same in Cornwall, in Glasgow and abroad. The player on this page carries the live feed, free and without an account.
Stations of this kind are typically volunteer-run and answerable to the community they serve rather than to advertisers, which shows in the programming: local news that no commercial station would carry, and shows for audiences too small to be commercially viable.
It works from any country. Some British broadcasters do replace certain music or sport on their international feeds because rights are sold by territory, but the station itself is not geo-blocked.
An hour of Rhubarb Radio costs roughly 30 to 60 MB. For comparison, standard-definition video can use that in a few minutes.
Either a brief drop in your connection or a restart at the station's end. If other stations on this site play normally and only Rhubarb Radio does not, the source feed is the likely cause.
