Kisstory is Bauer's national station for "old skool and anthems": the dance, R&B, garage and hip-hop classics of the 1990s and 2000s. It is the retro offshoot of KISS, and a rare case of a spin-off outgrowing its parent — in February 2026 RAJAR measured Kisstory at around 1.7 million weekly listeners, against roughly 1.3 million for KISS itself. The name began as a programme. Kisstory first aired on KISS on 28 January 2002, presented by Streetboy, playing the club records that had defined the station since its pirate days. It became a full-time station on 7 May 2013. The appeal is simple: the tracks that filled clubs and house parties when today's thirty- and forty-somethings were young, played without the pressure of the current chart. It is less of a specialist station than its reputation suggests, and more a soundtrack for weekends, the car and the gym. DJ Matchstick is among its best-known presenters. In September 2024 it gained a spin-off of its own, Kisstory R&B, for listeners who want only the R&B side of the catalogue. Kisstory broadcasts on DAB+ across the UK, on Freeview, online and in Bauer's Rayo app. The stream on this page carries the live output.
