Frequently asked questions about Soleil Radio live
No — Soleil Radio broadcasts over the internet only, so there is no frequency to find on a set. That is a deliberate trade: an online station skips the cost of a broadcast licence and reaches the whole country from day one, but it needs a connection at the listener's end. Press play above and it runs in the browser.
Breakfast is the most contested slot on British speech radio, and the one that sets the day's agenda. What you hear now is the live output, whatever the hour.
Because digital radio made it possible. Once DAB and streaming removed the scarcity of frequencies, broadcasters could split a general audience into single decades, and it turned out a great many people wanted exactly one decade rather than a mix.
Soleil Radio is a UK-wide service rather than a local one, so it carries the same output across the country with no regional opt-outs.
Usually the connection rather than the station: streaming needs a steady flow and any dip interrupts it. Reloading the page fixes most cases; switching network or closing other tabs handles the rest.
