Frequently asked questions about West Kent Radio live
West Kent Radio has no place on the dial. It is one of the many British stations that launched as a stream rather than applying to Ofcom for a frequency, which is why specialist formats like this one exist at all — the audience for them is spread too thin for local FM. It plays here with nothing to install.
West Kent Radio keeps a mixed schedule rather than committing to a single genre, which is the older model of radio: one station serving a whole audience through the day rather than one slice of it. It broadcasts by stream, so it reaches listeners anywhere.
Quite a few. You can browse them all on the England page, or use the genre pages if you are after a particular kind of music rather than a particular area.
Less than most people expect. Streaming West Kent Radio runs at roughly 30 to 60 MB an hour depending on the bitrate, well below video.
Either a brief drop in your connection or a restart at the station's end. If other stations on this site play normally and only West Kent Radio does not, the source feed is the likely cause.
