Frequently asked questions about XL:UK Radio live
Neither. XL:UK Radio is internet-only, which in practice means no coverage map and no interference: it sounds the same in Cornwall, in Glasgow and abroad. The player on this page carries the live feed, free and without an account.
Britain has an unusual claim on this music — jungle, drum and bass, UK garage and grime all originated here — and stations like XL:UK Radio exist to give those styles the airtime that playlist radio does not.
Soul, funk and R&B across eras, a lineage that has a particular history in Britain: northern soul turned obscure American records into a national club movement, and the appetite it created never really went away.
Its base is Wales. That matters more in British radio than it might seem: local stations are licensed to serve their area specifically, and their programming reflects it.
Either a brief drop in your connection or a restart at the station's end. If other stations on this site play normally and only XL:UK Radio does not, the source feed is the likely cause.
