Capital Dance live

Capital Dance is Global's national station for current dance music: the club tracks and electronic hits of the moment, for the same young audience that listens to Capital. According to RAJAR, it reached around 1.05 million listeners a week in May 2025, which makes it one of the most popular dance stations in the UK. It launched at 4pm on 1 October 2020, a spin-off of the main Capital station, and broadcasts from Global's studios in Leicester Square, London, alongside Capital, Capital XTRA and Capital Chill. Unlike many digital spin-offs it is presented for most of the day. Charlie Powell presents weekday mornings, Sarah Devine afternoons and MistaJam the early evening, with Zofia on Monday to Thursday nights. At weekends, Club Capital Dance takes over the evenings with Max Tyler and Hannah Rose. It is easy to confuse with Heart Dance, which Global also owns. Heart Dance plays club classics from the late 80s onwards for an older audience; Capital Dance stays close to the current dance chart and new releases. Capital Dance is on DAB+ across the UK, on the Digital One multiplex, and on Global Player. Older DAB radios that do not support DAB+ cannot receive it; the stream on this page plays it in any browser.
