About Greatest Hits Radio 60s live
Technical details, frequency and station information
Greatest Hits Radio 60s is Bauer's all-Sixties station, a spin-off of Greatest Hits Radio built entirely around music from the 1960s. Where the main network plays pop and rock from the 70s to the 90s, this one goes back a decade further, to the era many of those songs grew out of.
It launched at midday on Monday 16 September 2024, and its first hour went out as a simulcast with Ken Bruce's show on Greatest Hits Radio, which is how most listeners first heard about it. The station's voice is Joanna Lumley.
The launch line-up leaned on familiar names from British radio: Richard Allinson presenting weekday breakfast, Alex Lester on weekday afternoons, Andy Crane and Rossie at weekends. Around them, Ken Bruce contributes his "Secret Sixties" tracks, Paul Gambaccini curates a Sixties jukebox, and Simon Mayo has made documentaries for the station, including features on the legacy of the Beatles.
The station is available across the UK on DAB and in the Rayo app, and streams online. It was the first of Greatest Hits Radio's decade stations; Greatest Hits Radio 70s and 80s followed in March 2025.
