Heart Xmas live

Heart Christmas is a seasonal station that runs festive music around the clock through November and December, then goes quiet for the rest of the year. It has become a genuine fixture of the British radio calendar. Its launch date is reported as news, and reliably restarts the argument about how early is too early to start playing carols — an argument Global is happy to have, because it is free promotion for the whole Heart brand at the point in the year when radio listening peaks. The catalogue is smaller than any other Heart channel and deliberately so: a few hundred records that almost everyone already knows, from Slade and Wizzard through Mariah Carey to the choral repertoire, cycled without apology. Outside the season the stream is usually dormant or carries the main Heart feed, so a silent player in July is expected rather than a fault. Heart Christmas is carried online, on smart speakers and through Global Player, with a DAB slot appearing in some years for the season. Press play above when it is on air, free and with nothing to install.
