About Heart FM live
Technical details, frequency and station information
Heart is Global's feel-good pop network and one of the most listened-to commercial radio brands in Britain, with around 12.7 million weekly listeners across its stations at the end of 2025, according to RAJAR.
It started life as a single regional station: 100.7 Heart FM went on air in the West Midlands on 6 September 1994. The name was later extended to a string of local stations, which Global consolidated under one brand between 2008 and 2014. Today Heart covers England, Scotland and Wales, with thirteen stations that share most of the schedule and swap in local news, travel and advertising.
The flagship is Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, one of the biggest commercial breakfast shows in the country with more than four million listeners. Across the rest of the day the playlist sticks to familiar pop from the last few decades alongside current hits — less chart-chasing than its sister station Capital, and aimed at a broad adult audience competing directly with BBC Radio 2.
The brand also runs a family of single-decade and themed stations — Heart 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, Heart Dance and the seasonal Heart Xmas — for listeners who want one era rather than a mix.
The stream on this page is Heart UK, the national feed of the network.
